Your head swam as your eyes cracked open. You were pleasantly warm, comfortable, and surprisingly well-rested. Despite this, you closed your eyes with a deep inhale and began to revel in it when something began to nag at you from the back of your mind.
‘Get up!’
No.
‘No, really! Get up! You have to!’
Why?
‘Your wrists! Look!’
With a sigh, you opened one eye and moved one of your wrists, inadvertently moving both. It was then you realized they were tied together. Dread began to fill you as you forced yourself into a sitting position and actually took in your surroundings while trying to remember what had happened. Your immediate surroundings were dark but you could make out a large bed under you, surrounded by heavy curtains that blocked your view into the room around you. As your eyes adjusted to the darkness, you found yourself in a long nightdress of sorts with your legs bound at the knees and ankles. Letting out a gasp made you realize that you had been gagged as well.
The last thing you remembered was speaking to a bartender at one of the inns in one of the larger towns in the Boiling Isles. Somehow the conversation had moved toward the Emperor and the witch suggested that you attend one of the events that had been planned over the weekend, something you had to decline as you were leaving in the morning for your next destination.
“Too bad, I think you’d be just his type.”
You were sure you misheard him and brushed it off as you finished your Appleblood and headed toward your room. Unfortunately, you don’t remember much past that other than feeling woozy and someone carrying you somewhere before blacking out.
‘You were drugged…’
Before you could react, movement at the end of the bed made your gaze snap upwards and you froze. The curtain was now parted by a pale hand, showing a pitch-black room behind it but a pair of glowing blue eyes belonging to a tall figure caught your attention.
“Good evening, my dear…” a soft, familiar voice reached your ears and your eyes only widened. The figure belonged to the vampiric emperor. Your heart began to slam against your rib cage as you realized the situation you were in.
‘They chose you this time.’ the nagging voice whimpered. ‘He’s going to kill you.’
When you wake up, your neck is sore and your stomach hurts like those times when you ate too much for dinner and ended up bloated. You feel groggy, tired - not sick, though, or uncomfortable beyond your neck and stomach.
You also have no idea where you are.
The room is dark, the window covered in heavy black fabric, and the covers over you are heavy and gently press you down. The only light comes from a dying fire in a fireplace near the other side of the bed.
Someone's arms hold you down. You do not know who this person is, but their touch, their smell, it comforts you.
The man rustles awake and brings his lips to kiss your neck.
The kiss made you gasp and pulled to the side to look at the man. Familiar glowing blue eyes watched you with a warm hellish gaze that only comforted you more.
"I apologize... Did that hurt?" a soft British voice murmured. You wanted to say no, despite it not being the truth. Why though? Before you could answer, the sound of knocking caught your attention and you glanced in the direction of it.
"My liege, pardon the intrusion, but you have tasks that are time sensitive," a small, feminine voice perked your ears from somewhere outside of the room. "I insist that you attend to them at once."
With a soft sigh, the arms around you pulled away and the man slipped off the bed. With a flick of his hand and the dying fire became a blaze.
"Yes, yes. I'm coming. This place would fall apart without me, I know."
"I will let the Coven Heads know you are on your way, sire!"
"Right, you do that."
You stared after the man, finally getting a proper look at him: long blond hair, pale skin with green scarring across his face, and was much taller than you had realized. He still wore the white and gold robes you had remembered seeing over black clothing. The man turned his glowing gaze to you as he slipped his gauntlets back on and you felt like burying yourself under a pillow at the smile he gave you.
"I'm sorry, my love. Duty calls..." he sighed, stepping up beside the bed and taking your chin. He leaned in close, urging you to lay back on the bed before his lips met yours in a soft, quick kiss. "I will be back as soon as I am able."
One kiss turned into several and you could feel him try to get back onto the bed during a particularly long one. You couldn't help but lean into each one. You didn't know anything about this man, all you knew is you wanted more. As his knees found their way under your backside as if he was going to stay and perhaps take it further, the knock came once more.
"Sire!"
The sound that came from his throat was a mix of a disappointed groan and an annoyed growl and he broke the kiss.
"I'M ON MY WAY!" he snapped his head toward the door, baring his fangs. The small voice confirmed his answer and went silent. With a huff, he leaned his head against yours. "I have to go..."
A slight panic hit you and you initiated a kiss this time, causing him to snicker and deepen it. Pausing, he pulled away with a whine.
"No, no, my dove, I really have to go. I already want to stay... I'll be right back, I promise..."
You immediately honed in on his neck and he gasped, leaning in slightly before stopping himself again.
"You... are making this very hard..."
The man quickly got up and fixed himself, red in the face and panting slightly.
"We'll... continue this when I get back... All right?"
You pouted, causing him to laugh as he went to the door. Something gold glinting in his hand in the firelight caught your attention. When the man placed it over his face, your body froze in realization as Emperor Belos left the room.
Maybe the BI residents are afraid that he'll rampage if he doesn't get enough blood and chooses someone every couple of months to sacrifice to him.
It'd be funny if he wasn't the one who started this but went along with it cuz hey, he gets to openly kill a witch, perhaps among other things >w> without consequences...
Some may see it as an honor to be chosen XD
Must be getting close to spooky season for me to start having brainrot of this B<
One of the posts reminded me of the fact that I uncontrollably giggle if pinned down in a safe invirement (I discovered that during self defense classes). So now I can't get the image of Belos pinning reader to bed or any other surface and they just start giggling. They're like: *start giggling* I-pff-I'm still hehe mad at you! *giggle* FUCK OFF XD I can't control it!
Can be any Belos or Reader, I imagined it as platonic Vamp!Belos. Like one moment Reader if hissing kitten the next a giggling mess.
And when you start giggling, he gets even more and more playful, possibly not understanding the situation. You'll get heavy nuzzles and he'll end up chuckling over how cute you are for this. Even more so, he finds he adores your giggles so this would become a common thing.
You aren’t sure how, but you’re beginning to suspect that your dreams are not entirely dreams. Each night for the last three nights, you’ve had the same dream of wandering through the woods, away from the Owl House, and into an area where the ruins of something large used to sit. Why you were being drawn there, you have no answer, but something was luring you there. From there, you realize you aren’t alone and feel like you’re being watched.
When you turn, you find a dark figure of a man looming on the outskirts of the ruins, watching you with intense blue eyes. You can’t make out any other features as he approaches you and you find you can’t speak. You can’t move on your own either. He doesn’t say a word as he proceeds to pull you to him and begins to undress you. You felt his mouth on your skin as he did so, his hands caressing any exposed skin until your clothes were fully discarded.
The world would spin and you always end up on the ground under him, this time on your back. Once you were on your knees with your upper half pressed against the ground, and the other on your side. His form loomed over you, his hands gripping your hips while they were pressed hard against his in the shadow his body created as if you were going to be ripped away from him at any point. Pain in your lower half followed but you’re unable to look down. His eyes have your gaze locked with his as he began to move. Your legs tensed up around him from the sensation as you let out a painful whimper, prompting him to break his gaze from yours to look down and a large hand left your hip, moving over your stomach.
A red glow caught your eye before your chin was grabbed roughly and forced upward to look up at the man, his eyes captivating yours once more and your body began to relax. The hand caressed your jaw only to find its way around your throat. The hand on your stomach moved back to your hip and your body moved when his hips met yours once more. This time the pain was dulled. Not completely gone, but enough to make it manageable.
Grunts and groans reached your ears and he began to talk softly but you couldn’t make out what he said. His eyes coupled with the attack on your body made it very hard to think. He was rough and unforgiving. Time blurred as pain wore away into pleasure and the stranger continued, thrusting in a way that made you believe his goal was to impregnate you. Just as you felt your body close in on a climax, the stranger leaned in and a new, searing pain was introduced to your neck that spidered throughout your body.
Then, you’d wake up in your bed, your head and your body hurting. You were in the same clothes you wore the night before but you thought nothing of it… at first. This was the third morning that happened. While you found that strange, there wasn’t any evidence that told you what you were experiencing wasn’t a very dark dream. You knew. You checked each morning this happened. The only thing that was left was your body hurting but that could be chalked up to the fact that you were sleeping on the floor and could have laid wrong. The bite in the dream was new though.
When you went down for breakfast, you tried putting the whole thing aside, believing you were just going through some mental stuff from being in a place you weren’t used to. You found Luz and King at the table already eating but when Eda glanced up from the cauldron, she gave you a fake smile, greeted you then asked if she could talk to you alone. Not seeing a reason to decline, you followed Eda outside where you found the sunlight almost unbearable, forcing you to stay in the shade of Hooty’s eve. Eda snatched you by the jaw before you could say anything and jerked your head to the side, causing you to grunt and complain about how rough she was.
“Ow! Easy-!”
“Just as I thought. You’re marked.”
“What?”
“Listen. Do you remember last night?”
“Uhhhhh…”
“Hm. That was wiped too… Anyway, we were having game night when you suddenly stood up and decided to go for a “walk”. I didn’t think anything of it until you came back just before sunrise this morning. You don’t remember that either, do you?”
You stared at her then rolled your eyes up and shook your head.
“Didn’t think so. You didn’t even acknowledge me or Hooty talking to you. You just went up to your room.”
“Yeah, I don’t remember any of that… but I’ve… been having weird dreams lately…”
Eda crossed her arms and gave you a half-lidded stare.
“Highly sexual dreams that border on rape?”
Your face must have gone redder than a Christmas bauble because it made Eda sigh. Hard.
“You’re being targeted by a vampire, all right. And not the kind that wants to take you out to dinner first. This is bad.”
Upon hearing that, you immediately covered your neck where you remembered the pain from the dream and where Eda was looking. You felt two holes that ached upon touch.
“Ah-! Wait, vampire?!”
“They’ve figured out where you live. Must be pretty powerful to have the ability to lure you away at a considerable distance. Hooty didn’t notice anyone around the house or in the surrounding woods last night. I’m going to need you to tell me everything that’s been going on. I need to know how you met this vampire and what they look like.”
“... I don’t know what he looks like. I just know it’s a tall man with blue eyes… I don’t usually see anything else but shadows. I don’t remember meeting anyone strange recently either.”
“Hm. He could be using a cloaking spell to make sure he’s not found out until it’s too late.”
Your head perked up some.
“Too late?”
“Has he bitten you before last night?”
You shook your head, face still red as you thought back to the “dreams”.
“Then he’s closing in. If I had to guess, he was gauging you the last three nights, seeing how easy it was to lure you to him without breaking his hold before deciding you were worth taking. Could be seeing what exactly you are considering you're human.”
“How… do you know all this?”
“Raine was targeted when we were younger and I had to put the smack down on an entitled brat who thought he could just take Rainstorm away from me.”
“Jeeze… Did they-?”
“No, thankfully, but each vampire is different. It depends on their personality and what their motives are. I just know others who were not so lucky with vampires who had more carnal desires.”
Eda rubbed her temples as you bit your lip.
“What do we do now then?”
“Well, I would say let it happen again to find out who it is, but since this has progressed to an actual bite, we might have to try keeping you out of reach until we know who we are dealing with.”
You covered the bite mark with your hand.
“What… What does the bite actually mean?”
“Well, it’s possession. Not only will it keep other vampires from laying claim to you, but it’s a sign that whoever this is will make a more permanent move. What that move will be, it’s anyone’s guess.”
“What does that mean?!”
Eda clapped her hands together, forced a smile, and inhaled deeply.
“Either we’re going to find you drained of all of your blood or missing altogether within the next couple of days or so... Most likely drained. If we don’t do something now, that is...”
You stared at her in horror.
“What?!”
“Yeah… So, we’re going to have to make a trip to Bonesborough for some supplies when Luz goes to school…”
Reader baring their fangs and hissing at Belos, regardless of the circumstance (you're pissed and he's trying to convince you to come down and eat), is probably super cute to him. It probably is like when a kitten hisses, to him instinctually.
Oh, he finds it absolutely precious. But like a kitten, he'll win you over sooner or later. He just has to make sure you're well taken care of.
I am loving the vampire Belos stuff, makes me wanna write about him too :'D
I imagine at some point reader has to just simply accept the fact they're a vampire now, so tries to lists the positives of being one
as difficult as it is. Climbing on walls and sitting on the ceiling is ok, the whole dream lure thing...well probably can be useful for something though they can't think of what, do vampires on the boiling isles have super speed and strenght? Suppose they can test that sometime
"Can I turn into a bat?" they ask Philip though being careful knowing the effect he has on them, what's that all about anyways? Philip will just have to deal with reader asking him all sorts of things now, though he probably doesn't mind a whole lot, as silly as some questions are. Just means he gets to spend more time with them between his duties as emperor
Vampire Belos is a lot of fun OwO
At one point, yeah, it's time to just accept everything that's happening. It's life- er... unlife? Whaddya gonna do about it?
Oh yes, and he finds all of it endearing. He's even more amused at the clear indication that you're trying to keep your distance from him while curious. He has to wonder where you get some of the ideas you come up with.
Though... Imagine becoming tempted to take his hand when he offers it to you and he pulls you into a dance only to have it lead up a wall and to the ceiling. >w>
