Y’know, sometimes it’s the little things I appreciate about cards, and Modern Masters this year has no shortage of them. I know the new art and flavor text of Terminate and Serum Visions made a splash, but my surprise was this: Vampire Nighthawk finally has flavor text. Every printing, even the FNM promo, is filled with reminder text due to NWO requiring reminder text on most cards under rare. But Masters sets are exempt from NWO, giving us a Nighthawk with one clean line for its abilities and plenty of space for just a bit more flavor about Zendikari vampires. A nice change for my Vampire tribal deck, personally.
