Shit. He did forget. And he groaned softly, pinching the bridge of his nose as he winced slightly at the stinging.

“Shit, I’m so sorry...I was just so close to catching the suspect tonight that I forgot. I’ll make it up to you.”

Luis wasn’t...great at emotions, often he’d overwork himself and forget about everything else even when he didn’t mean to. He sighed softly and closed his eyes, pushing his hair back over his face, remaining under the water to think.

Luis heard the voice and pulled out his pack of cigarettes and lighter, holding it out to the man and raising a brow as he looked up at him, narrowing his eyes before mumbling with the cigarette between his lips,

“Don’t I know you from somewhere?”

His unusual green eyes watched the man for a moment, brows furrowing.

“Eh, nothing. Just curious to see who he’s with..”

He snapped his fingers and a small book appeared in his palm, using one finger to flick through it, humming softly,

“Friends since you were both little, but then he got kicked out at eighteen. Hmm...And you couldn’t find him, even on the night he was attacked. Interesting..”

He then snapped the book shut, Both white eyes focusing on the other,

“He was with me that night, laying on the cold floor when those...mutts left him there. If it wasn’t for Lucifer’s decision to keep him alive you wouldn’t have him, eh? Plus, you’ve cheated death, aka. Me, also. Very clever. But! I mean no harm, just merely checking in, I know he’s been happier since you both met again, he will not talk about his past, but I gladly will. Doesn’t hurt either of us.”
