I don't really have the words- but I'm gonna try 😅

I received these in the mail today from a friend here on Tumblr, who I'm not sure if they'd want me to publicly acknowledge for it or not.

But like... DUDE. This is amazing, and I'm so very grateful. Not only have I never read the entirety of Young Justice, but due to the sheer cost it's been a want but low on the priority list because of it, despite featuring Tim- and also Kon and Bart.

Not only that but, it's been a few years now since I've received a gift that wasn't purchased by S.O. with a shared DVD collection in mind. Because we don't celebrate holidays, my mother's been dead for a few years now, and I can't even remember the last time even my close friends when I had them bought me a gift.

So like, with everything going on currently health mystery wise stressing me the hell out, a surprise like this was particularly uplifting and incredible.

Not exactly today's pulls, but these two finally arrived in the mail today. Lucky find. Both brand new, from the same seller. Free shipping due to how much the order was.

Paid $90. The omnibus is $100 retail and the DC Finest $40 retail so I'm quite thrilled.

A bit disappointed that DC chose to use the newsprint paper for this omnibus though, as I thought they did away with that paper in entirety. At least it's higher grade newsprint than they'd have used for single issues. On the plus side, they did still improve the coloration/printing technique, and the newsprint is significantly lighter so unlike my JSA omnibuses this book won't bow my shelves.

Now I'll have to get the Silver Age one as the Bronze Age one is technically book #2

The DC Finest book will fill some missing issue gaps but also replace the lower quality single issues I did have (better paper and colorization).

I seriously can't recommend the DC Finest line enough. The books are all $40ea but they're worth it.

Today's Comic pulls.

I went to pick up the 2 Blood Syndicate issues to almost finish off my Worlds Collide story, but next weeks comics were in, and my dude lets me take things early. I don't buy a whole lot of Bat-title new issues with me preferring TPBs, so it doesn't happen often.

(You best believe I'll be picking up that new Teen Titans issue the moment it comes through his door that month though lol)

Shelf nine of my collection!

Things get complicated here, because my Superman section is chaos. The era I specifically like is the "Triangle Era", which was when every single superman story was tied together between 4+ titles. DC had the decency to not only have issue #'s on things, but story #'s as well. But some tie-in issues from non-Superfam titles did not get a story number. Things further get complicated when I bought some of the issues as Kon stories, and then decided to buy the story surrounding the Kon stories 😅 so not all of them are complete and it's been a WIP.

- Superman : Death of Superman

- Funeral for a Friend --- the loose issues, and all of the tie-in issues from non-Superfam series (10 issues, + missing a special at the end)

- Reign of the Supermen --- the loose issues and all tie-ins (29 issues, + I'm missing 2 annuals and a special at the end)

- Superman: The Man of Steel #27 --- first issue following the Reign saga

- Adventures of Superman #506 --- following issue that finishes off Kon's initial arc.

- Superman : Doomsday

- Superman : The Trial of Superman --- 10 issues, + 2 missing prologue issues and 4 missing tie ins

- Superman : The City of Tomorrow

- Action Comics #765 --- Joker and Harley invalid Metropolis

- Superman : Critical condition --- 4 issues, but 3 issues a part of it are at the end of the City of Tomorrow TPB above.

- Superman : Emperor Joker --- 8 issues, + 1 I'm missing that's $9 and needs to be included in a larger order for shipping costs.

- Superman : Our Worlds At War

*I have a TON of various Superman/Fam issues not on this shelf, because I'm not sure how to file them yet as they are all Kon appearances and I have no intention to buy the issues before and after them
