Op zaterdag 2 juli werd in Westmaas The DriveXperience gehouden.

De gemeente Binnenmaas heeft dit in samenwerking met het ROV-ZH (Regionaal Ondersteuningsbureau Verkeersveiligheid Zuid-Holland) georganiseerd.

De dag werd officieel geopend door wethouder Wouter Joosten. Eerst sprak hij de deelnemers toe en daarna mocht hij als eerste een noodstop simuleren op onze rem-/slipbaan. De auto’s die gebruikt werden om noodstops te maken waren gratis beschikbaar gesteld door Ford Dealer Auto Van der Burgh uit Maasdam.
