Undercover Vacation // Inguk * Vana * Rain
A trip home. A vacation. That was what this steambot needed. Lately, Inguk had been moodier than ever. Usually he was fairly chill and stoic, an over-all calm and collected guy. Ever since the accidental shut down and return, he had been having more and more mood-swings and annoying as ever subconscious temper tantrums. He had a soul like anyone else (albeit it being magically gifted to him) and these emotions were as normal as any other; which meant as annoying as any other. The funk had gotten him homesick and oddly enough unable to do work properly. A gaunlet that may have taken him half an hour to complete to perfection was now taking him four hours at the least! If taking a trip was not for his sake, at least it was for the little shits (as he so lovingly referred to the students) in his classroom
The gears had begun turning a mere few days ago with ideas of a get-away. What better way to spend a trip home than to indulge in his ultimate hobby and slight obsession: hunting for gemstones. An impromptu conversation had struck in the staff room one day between Inguk and two of his fellow professors and peers over a ‘winter break’ of sorts. An odd bunch of people it seemed, but each with their own reasons to get away and explore the Elven realm. So, after a quick word with the headmaster (and a pat on the... shoulder Inguk had assumed.) confirming it was all for educational purposes, they were to meet on the other side of the portal early the next morning. In full cloak and gear with satchel on his side, the steambot jumped in. After a swirling rush which shook the water in his tank far too much for his liking, he was promptly dropped onto a grassy patch on what seemed to be a mountainside overlooking a nearby brook. With a groan, he stood up and rubbed at his metal behind where the ground had hit before spotting a familiar face. “Ah... here already, then? Ready for an adventure?”

“Perhaps you’re just not very good at hiding.” The veela quipped with a chuckle. Trails of blood was an easy thing to follow and the only logical explanation for the trail to cease in the woods would be that the one exuding the fluids would have taken to the trees. Vána hadn’t inhabited the woods for all those years and learned nothing.
Beckoning for the other to come down she called, “Come down here and I’ll fix you a nice remedy and patch you up. It’d be a shame for a pretty face to be lost to the dreary trenches of the forest.” The veela offered the woman a warm smile as if to entice her from the perch.
So hiding in the tree probably hadn’t been her greatest ideas, but it wasn’t like she could have teleported or flown with how she was feeling and with the way she’d hidden herself she shouldn’t have been spotted among the branches. Brown eyes regarded the woman below as she offered to help her and pursing her lips the angel debated on whether or not it would be a good idea.
It was the pain in her side and the growing smell of her own blood coming from the wound that finally drew her down from the tree, nimble enough to almost be called graceful despite her wound. “What are you doing so far out here anyways? No one is ever in this area of the woods.”

♆ - Seaweed farms
"This is....a seaweed farm?” With her arms crossed over her chest the angel stared at the woman - a professor from the academy, as she spoke of the area with quite a bit of excitement. She had always assumed seaweed just grew at the bottom of the ocean and washed ashore when it broke off. To think people actually harvested it. Sure it tasted good on some meals, but was the market for it so big that it was now farmed? “And we’re supposed to do what?” Had she heard correctly? “No no no way.” Shaking her head Jieun took a few steps back as her arms crossed even tighter. “It’s one thing to come down here in a bubble,” that alone had terrified her. “But no way am I swimming even deeper to pull up seaweed, I’ll stay ashore thank you very much.”

Send me ⚠ to find my muse at the end of a trail of blood.
She’d managed to drag herself back onto campus before having to stop beneath a tree to rest. The gloved hand at her waist was wet with the blood from the wound she had taken and as she glanced behind her she realized that the ground had been stained as well leading a trail straight to where she sat. “Fiddlesticks....” She wasn’t sure for how long she had been sitting when the sound of footsteps alerted her that someone was nearing and instantly she was scrambling into the tree hiding herself among the branches. The footsteps stopped right below her and peering down she spotted a woman she’d never noticed before staring back up at her in surprise.
With her lips set in a grim line she sighed before breaking the silence. “If this were a game of hide and seek I dare say you would be the winner.”
