this is one of the worst vivziepop downgrades, this is on par with striker to me. Vanex zoophobia 2008 you will always be famous cuz LOOK AT HER. WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED.

Vanexa is a character that unfortunately suffers from the viv special of: "being the girl character" and having absolutely nothing interesting about her in the slightest, and only existing to be the other side of a relationship with a more favorable character. (spam. who I don't even fuckin like either so her role now is literally just to be the quiet angry girlfriend to an already lame character) The name change is an example of this too, the change from VANEX to VANEX-A is such a small change but really annoying to me because it's almost like she just added the A to remind you that "yuup this is the girl character!" it's also just a worse name. I'm gonna keep calling her vanex.

Vanex is kinda played up to be this like, mysterious character? that's at least the vibe I got from the original comic and while it wasn't finished, there really doesn't seem to be anything interesting about her that was even PLANNED. Using art that we have from the time of the comics run, we can piece together some sort of story/character trait or backstory that was GONNA play out at some point over the course of the comic, a good example is the amount of art about Addisons backstory to the point that we basically know everything that was at least PLANNED for him. The only interesting art of her is from 2007/2008 and even in that art, sometimes we can still see her dumbed down to "GIRL THAT READS BOOKS AND IS QUIET AND DATES SPAM" the first piece of art in this thread is so fucking COOL. WHERE IS THIS CHARACTER. I don't think that her personality should be entirely uprooted, and be this evil devious stab everyone around her character. I do like her general demeanor but I just wish she had a SMIDGE, just a LITTLE BIT MORE to her personality to make her more similar to her original design. The fact that this entire side of her character was completely scrapped makes me sad and I really hope that we get to see more sides of her like this during the new zoophobia series. an episode dedicated to her that gives her the spotlight she deserves would make me so, so happy. but unfortunately, I don't have much hope for her. Given vivs track record with writing other girl characters in her shows.
