[Starter for @vanitys-solitude ;; Candlelight]
Ingo watches as the world shutters by out the window of the train, monolithic buildings and arcing structures of glass and steel cast across every surface. He's been riding this line quite aimlessly for a short while now, watching the same places coast along in a smear of forgettable blinking lights. Unfamiliar. Foreign.
It'd almost be enchanting if it wasn't so keen on reminding him what he'd so recently rediscovered. What he'd left behind.
…His brother would have been thrilled.
A small, almost unnoticeable shuffling recaptures his attention, a soft whrrr catching in the air between him and the seat ahead. He can feel Litwick moving from her spot bobbing peacefully on his knee, peering up at him as the gentle movement of the train rocks them both to and fro. Patient, but eager.
"Ah. Pardon me."
He neatly scoops up another small piece of the matcha cheesecake in his lap for Litwick, holding it still for her to nibble off the plastic spoon. It's the best way to prevent a mess— she's only been stuck in her base form for a short time, but he's already well and truly learned his lesson about letting her try to take on a whole treat by herself. That's certainly not going to happen on his lap, let alone on the train. Far too messy.
Ingo quite gets the feeling that she's been enjoying being treated like a newly hatched pokémon again, as much as it's been something of an inconvenience for them both. He is her primary method of locomotion now, save for the occasional erratic use of Psychic.
