during our last dnd session i also dropped a lotta Vannerly Lore such as:
he doesn’t care about money to the point he turned down a 1000g reward (me, ooc: i just want everyone to know that for me, the Greediest Person In Gaming, this is torture)
what he - or at least his warlock patron - does care about is things being allowed to be free and requested the release of a bunch of carnival animals instead
he gives as good as he gets when it comes to flirting but that’s all, bc he’s asexual
he’s from the desert and it was extremely cold in-game, so he spent the entire day wrapped up in a blanket on the couch like a kid home sick from school
also none of the other characters are totally aware saffir is a sprite instead of just a finch (bc saffir spends their time either invisible or disguised) and therefore, i can only assume, must think vannerly is just the kind of weirdo that introduces his bird to everyone he meets
since i was in a Character Mood and bc i’m gonna start playing him... at some point, i decided to do an aesthetic builder for vannerly

curious: people who abuse their power over others, which is why she was talkin shit about strahd the SECOND they got to barovia and HAS NOT STOPPED to this day
fennel: people who refuse to help others, despite being in a position to.
delling: same as fennel, honestly. (they’re both from wealthy families and doing their best to pay it forward.) also, two-faced, double-dealing people.
vannerly: people who abuse animals.
