Something very very spontaneous. It started as a pose study from a reference, and then got a little story.

Pavel once had a zippo lighter, his favorite, with special star and anchor engraving; he got it as a gift from his crew mates back in the Navy (I don’t know how they got an American zippo on a Soviet submarine, let it be a mystery, lol). Since then the lighter served long, and was some kind of Pavel’s tiny talisman. Unfortunately, the lighter was lost in some smuggling operation that ended up pretty ugly. In one of Pavel and Alice conversations, while speaking about lucky charms, Pavel mentioned his zippo, a gift from his old crew, and how he regrets he lost it - not a talisman itself, but a memory of his friends and old days. Sometime after this talk Alice made him a sudden gift - a zippo with engraving, same star and anchor emblem just like Pavel described, only the style of engraving and color were slightly different. For sure, it wasn’t Pavel's old zippo, but a new one; it still ignites memories of his past, but more importantly this small gift became much more special and dear to him - a sign that someone cares about him after his long time of loneliness. He is not alone anymore.

Here is Johnny the zippo. I tried to find a place for it on the major drawing, but it looked awkward, so I decided to leave it as a separate sketchy doodle. And I added a couple of scars to Pavel’s hands.

I should do something with my approach, or technique, or method, or style of drawing - don’t know what exactly, but I spend way too much time on one pic. With this pace I will become an old grumpy grandma babushka sooner than I will finish all of my doodles.

A reference of Alice with updated, final look according to her in-game appearance.

Been practicing female anatomy and boobies. I used photos of ancient Celtic stones as references for her left arm tattoo. It was interesting to make, but I'm not 100% satisfied with the final design - it's too complex, and something is off. I will re-do the ornaments in the future. In game initially I made Alice with dark auburn short hair (because it’s one of a couple normal looking female haircuts? R*, can we have more nice hair styles for girls, please)

Until I realized that she looks the same as a million of female protagonists - it bothered me. So I choose to change her hairstyle to long-hair/braid/ponytail, to be more original, to stand out. But in the end it all felt wrong, alien, weird and… out of character, lol. So I decided to stick with her initial appearance. Yes, she looks similar as billions of GTA short haired girls in leather jackets, but at least now my Alice is Alice I know and love, just how I created her in the beginning.

I had to delete old drawing of her and Pavel standing together because it was anyone else but her, just some fine random girl. I may re-do that and other drawings too but with "new" appearance.

I doubt that its comfy to sleep like this on a caged metal floor. But, as we say, - a soldier can sleep anywhere, in any pose, on any surface.

I wanted to draw this for so long. Something tender, warm, intimate.

Looks like El Rubio has finished the jigsaw, and his “wolves” tracked down the crew.

Stealing from drug lord is not a child play, and being caught by El Rubio was only a matter of time regardless of how good we cover our tracks. And since it’s usually Kapitan who put their life at risk, this time things are different, and Pavel somehow has been caught and wounded. Either Kap will save him, or Pavel will claw his way out. Judging by the look on his face, he is not considering to give up.

I wasn't sure if I should post it. It's violent, there is blood, wounds. Perhaps it's too much. But I think I will risk. If the image made you uncomfortable, please tell me, I’ll delete it.

I usually draw sweet (sickly-sweet) and tender things, so this time I really wanted to draw...something dark, angsty, messy and bloody; with angry Pavel cursing in Russian (the most accurate translation is "Fuck off/go fuck yourself”), covered in blood or wounded (I’m sorry, Pavel), thrown in some dangerous situation (double sorry). Now I feel terrible about this. But I think Pavel is a tough cookie, and its a big question how things will end. Plus, I wanted to draw Strickler as someone who really poses a threat to us. A clever, cunning man, who will find you anywhere; very cruel as every drug dealer is. One with whom you’ll never want to be enemies. As Pavel said, you’d rather jump off the cliff than be caught by him.

I hope El Rubio looks like himself.

Okay, jokes aside, it’s just one angry Russian who fell in a tank of strawberry jam, and some kindhearted blonde man helps him to get out.

I’ve also added a tattoo on Pavel’s left boob. It's the real Russian submariner's one, but here the tattoo came out too small and unreadable. Well, it has a submarine, a globe and a Navy flag

This meeting had to happen. And I wanted to draw blushing Pavel ( ͡ꈍ ͜ʖ̫ ͡ꈍ )

I've decided to replay Doomsday Heist... I love and respect uncle Lester for his incredible mind, he is an interesting character, but his constant yelling in this heist is annoying as hell. I really missed Pavel in that moment. And then this idea came to my mind.

I put this moment after completing main Cayo objective. Alice (my Kapitan), Lester and crew mates are being dragged in Doomsday Heist events, and Pavel assists them (maybe gives leads to Bogdan as well? (I know it happened differently in game, but...)) And eventually, Lester appears on the Kosatka...To have a little revenge and make things awkward. Or helps to resolve some uncertainty, who knows ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I did few sketches of Pavel (and Kapitan); usually draw in between work and study. As a completly newbie in digital painting I spend too much time on redraw from sketchbook and on shadows/colour. Though, I hope to post more drawings eventualy.

Drawing Pavel’s hair was challenging, I didn’t even realize it. Still not 100% sure about it, but I’ll leave it as it is.
