byleth was thankful for it, as he had been every day since his arrival, in the same bittersweet way. it was, in fact, everything he wanted: peace, and with a person he considered one of his dearest companions. but the environment was not the fódlan either of them knew, they cast their lines today for fish they didn’t yet know the names of... and from the trusted words of people who had been here far longer, peace could be broken or returned at the whim of an unseen deity.
