one thing about Gerard Way. they love to include twins in their narratives. Fear & Regret in TBP. Vaya & Vamos in Danger Days, and Sofia & Maria in National Anthem. The DRAAG guards/soldiers in LLTBP. probably some stuff in their other comics idk. With how often the theme of The Duality Of The Self appears in their works its not surprising bc twins are like The most “the same but separate” thing ever. ur talking about inner conflict & suppressing parts of urself & not feeling whole. there’s gonna b 2 identical ppl in the stories. Maybe something to be said about the sibling bond between them & Mikey bc even tho they obviously aren’t twins they’re incredibly close to each other.

Also funny to me that now we have a Gender Trifecta of twins. Fear & Regret and Maria & Sofia are sisters, the DRAAG guards/soldiers are brothers, and Vaya & Vamos are nonbinary. Fun!!
