A couple different things to note here. First off, this finish happened earlier than expected because just a few moments before this was shot, the heavens opened and a MAJOR rain storm hit. THAT means, they are going VERY fast on a VERY slick surface. Secondly, this was my first cycling event I have been to. I'll be going to more, that's for sure. Lastly (and my favorite), the woman that won this race is my favorite. She's fierce and she's 52. She out sprinted some young bucks and it was pretty incredible to watch. Laura Van Gilder.
