secondly, (no need to answer this if its a downer on your mood, i know this is irrelevant to the content you post) but i can feel that heaviness returning, that weird melancholy in my chest and all that bullshit -- and was wondering if you had any advice at all to thug through it

while i know its normal and the cyclical nature of feelings will do what it does, i just hate being sad, i dread it

i’m really sorry that you’re feeling that way :( i totally understand what you’re going through, i had that slump recently & that’s why i decided to take my lil break. anyways, this is going to sound like the dumbest thing you’ve probably ever heard, but please know i’m not at all mocking you. i airplayed my phone to the living room tv laid down on the floor and played a frank sinatra song on repeat 22 times. i speak genuinely when i say that was the only way i could feel something.

my advice would be to indulge in the things that make you happy. even if they don’t work at the time, it’s good to be doing something! my horse & listening to music makes me happy, so i had spotify going pretty much all the time — and i visited my horse everyday. at the very least, remember to stay hydrated, n if things get truly dire, lay out in the sun for a bit. i promise it helps !

and if it helps at all to think of it logically, things have been good before and they’ll be good again. it doesn’t rain forever <3
