Jurassic June day 22
Veggiesaurus
Welcome to Jurassic Park
Happy 30th anniversary to the king of dinosaur movies, the original Jurassic Park!
Released in theaters on June 11, 1993, this movie is based on a book of the same name and still holds up well all these years later. The animatronic T-Rex used in the movie is still being used in all the sequels, including the Jurassic World franchise.
I was in kindergarten when this movie first came out, and it scared me back then. But, of course, I eventually got over it. I actually came to really love dinosaurs, and I still think they’re interesting today.
My doll selves are ready to help me commemorate this milestone!
In Jurassic World, Owen has a “pet” raptor named Blue. Cute, but Kenleigh has a T-Rex named Chomp. :D
It’s okay, she’s tame!
Who says a logo graphic t-shirt with matching cap and cutoff jeans and a dinosaur/reptilian skinned clutch can’t be a fashion statement?
I’d like to take this opportunity to say - check out this awesome T-Rex! This is the Colossal T-Rex that was released not long after the first Jurassic World movie. I’d been eyeing it for a while, and when it finally went on sale, I grabbed it. From the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail, it measures three feet long. The mouth opens and closes, and the hands and feet can also be moved into a variety of positions. The tail can also move from side to side. The T-Rex can also swallow up to 20 mini figures, though I haven’t done that part lol. I thought it was a great size for 1/6 scale dolls, and once I actually put a Barbie with it, I was even more convinced!
My backyard apparently makes a great backdrop for her. :D
So Kenleigh seems to like the carnivores, but Kiku seems to favor the herbivores. Excuse me, the veggiesauruses. :D
Who says dinosaurs can’t be kawaii (cute)?! I won those adorable plushies in a Japanese claw machine at a Round 1 arcade. I knew they’d be great for ani-ME!
Modeling time! The jungle is the runway. :D

Thanks for the tip, Nonny. =)
Life as a new vegan is good! Yummy foods every day!
You know that animated Country Crock commercial where the kid whines, “But Mom, dinosaurs only eat meat!”? I hate that commercial, I hate it with a passion, because it makes no damn sense. That kid is obviously obsessed with dinosaurs, so obsessed with them that he dresses like one! This would make me think that he’s read all about them, every word he can possibly find about them. And he doesn’t know that some dinosaurs were carnivorous and others were herbivorous? Seriously, has this boy never even watched Jurassic Park?!!?!? Does he have no familiarity with the word “Veggiesaurus”???
