Is the veil between our world and the other/spiritual/supernatural world truly thinner on Halloween? If you think so, do you know why?

I believe the ‘veil between worlds’ thing is a Victorian belief that was adopted into neopaganism and applied to Samhain/Halloween. I don’t believe there is a veil to thin. I believe the only thing between us and the spiritual world is ourselves and our ability or willingness to be receptive and perceive them.

I don’t believe Halloween is a special day in which this happens. However- Halloween is a day in which people collectively focus on the dead and all things supernatural. So perhaps that helps in perceiving and being willing to perceive the dead.

But I don’t believe there is an etheric veil that thins. It was born out of Victorian spiritualism which was largely all nonsense anyway.
