In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag ten friends, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them.
1. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas : because it's a good example of everything that was wrong about Holocaust and what happened to humans in those unhuman camps! (and i'd say more about how deep it is and stuff but idk how to express my feelings about this book and Holocaust and WW2 and so on in english)
2. The Never Ending Story : Die unendliche Geschichte by Michael Ende one of my many favourite children books. I loved the Story around Bastian, Fuchur and Atréju as a kid and i still do.
3. Every single book by Astrid Lindgren : Pippi Långstrump, Alla vi barn i Bullerbyn, Mio, min Mio, Barnen på Bråkmakargatan, Madicken, Emil i Lönneberga... to just name a few.
4. Don Camillo und (and) Peppone : by Giovannino Guareschi really one of my favourite books (and movie) it has so much charme and i love how Camillo and Peppone interact with each other.
5. Ich hab die Unschuld Kotzen sehen : idek what to say about this book... it's been a while since i read it and idk it's a bit harsh and dark?! But i remember it used to be my favourite book when i was a teenager.
6. Travel Guides : There's nothing more soothing than reading a good travel guide before going on a trip. So i can't really decide but i guess i love my (many) japan travel guides the most.
7. Der Schimmelreiter : The Rider on the White Horse by Theodor Storm. I had to read this book nearly 10 years ago for school and i found myself liking it so much that i read it at least 4 times since then.
8. Das Versprechen : The Pledge by Friedrich Dürrenmatt. A detective story about sexual crimes on children. It's a really thrilling novel about a crime investigator who makes a promise to a mother.
9. The Hunger Games : I was surprised that i liked those books THAT much... i just really disliked the last part of the last book (aka the ending).
10. The HELP : akdhkadshksd I NEARLY FORGOT MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE!!! I love the Movie and i freakin love the book! I mean seriously if you haven't GO AND READ! It's a really amazing book about black people in old America and how they fight to be heard!
