Whirling across the ice, Tessa closed her eyes and savoured the familiar feeling of moves she had executed thousands of times. She really was grateful for Velocity, for the chance that it gave her to experience what most people took for granted. Her new normal was not something she liked to think about, and actively put out of her mind with things such as striking up a conversation with one of the many strangers around the city. That was exactly what was happening now as she skated up to someone at the edge of the rink.
