the newest update 🥺😍 I’m so in love with how you’ve created taehyung he’s so soft and lovely 🥺🥺 I had a question, and I don’t want to over step or make you reveal something that may be explained later, but my question is about how taehyung feels? when an android deviates and is around humans do they become more and more human like? is taehyung feeling emotions about love and sex and etc like humans would? I’m glad you enjoyed it! 💖💖 ooh no I’m absolutely happy to answer those questions, don’t worry- I was planning on writing drabbles etc in the future, so it might cover those questions, but for now I’ll just shove my thoughts under a read more for you (in case people aren’t interested/want to avoid spoilers!):

(also I did try to touch on this in part 2 but sdfslkdjf I’m happy to expand on it for you):

so, first things first: the human touch verse/androids are inspired by/based on the androids from the video game ‘detroit: become human’ (super great game!!). BUT in that verse, the second androids deviate, they immediately seem to just act entirely human (what with emotions etc).

in my verse I didn’t think that was entirely... realistic? especially in taehyung’s case; you have to consider that all he knew before deviating was what it was like to be a sex android, living in a sex club. so he’s only ever really seen humans in very specific contexts. every android has the capacity for deviation, but it’ll take time to... adjust to feeling emotion/realising what emotion is? it’s one of the reasons taehyung seems so childlike in the beginning- he’s feeling everything so much and he’s never had a chance to learn how to regulate himself, or really identify what he’s feeling. other androids might be a lot faster at adapting than him, but in taehyung’s case he has very limited scope of reference

when an android deviates they essentially break the programming that keeps them... hmm.. emotionless? taehyung does feel emotions like love, attraction, happiness, etc, and he learns more and more about it as time goes on? a lot of androids process things faster than humans/have better memories/certain models will have specialised features (like taehyung can measure someone’s pulse just by touching their skin, for example), but otherwise, if they’ve deviated, they’re very human. they feel things like humans do. pain, not so much- they don’t have pain receptors really- but feelings, yes.

in regards to sex: not every android has, ahem, functional genitalia- because there’s no need for them to? but taehyung does because he was a sexbot. before deviation it was different, he just had sensors built into those parts of his body so he knew how to react accordingly, like a human would- because customers would want something that seemed realistic. he didn’t actually derive any pleasure from it because he didn’t have the capacity to enjoy things?

now, after deviation those sensors are still there and now he can actually experience pleasure, so... sex feels good for him. oc does worry about this, which is why she asks if it feels good for him- and he’s not lying when he says yes, it does feel good.

I have a lot of headcanons about this verse that just didn’t come out in the main story hahahsdfjshdfkjshdf;;
