HOLD. FOR. THE. APPLAUSE. Because honestly, Taron is us, and it's such a fun take on shooting-a-movie-together-falling-in-love. Also really definitely "the things we steal (it was only a kiss)" because it was SO FUN to have headcanons bouncing around together, and to know that I was able to inspire you to create something so lovely and fun! AND OF COURSE "all the tables turn" as such a good character study of Harry and a slightly different angle on the Hartwin dynamic! Oh no I love everything?!

VEN. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.

oh man, I still remember when the hold for the applause was a mere baby idea that we were just yelling about, and then I actually wrote it and you enabled me ALL THE WAY. 80% of the reason I finished that fic was “oh I gotta write new stuff to send a snippet to ven.” GOD.

also yes, the things we steal wouldn’t have happened without you! discussing hp au headcanons with you and seeing you outline the masterpiece that is magic in your fingertips was a really inspirational exercise :D

Gabe/Tyson, New Year's kiss (Happy New Year's Eve!! 🎉🎉)

“What are you up to tonight?” Gabe looks up from where he’s sitting at his stall–Tyson looks as beat as he does, though the suit hides some of the post-game exhaustion. “For New Years, Landesnerd,” Tyson clarifies, at Gabe’s blank face. 

Gabe shrugs. “Nothing, probably. Zoey and me on the couch.” The curse of the game on New Year’s Eve–no one has energy to go to a party afterwards, or no one over the age of 25, at least; Gabe thought he’d heard Josty and JT talking about a party they wanted to hit up. “What about you?”

“Nate and me on the couch.” 

“Too old for parties?” Gabe teases, and Tyson scoffs. 

“Hey, Mac and I are going to be rocking and rolling, don’t you worry.”

“So, Hallmark movies?” 

“Nah, we’re going classy. Shaken, not stirred for us.” Gabe laughs, because as always–Tyson is just so himself, and Gabe will never not enjoy that, however ridiculous it is. “Um, so,” Tyson goes on,his voice quieter now. Unsure, like Gabe’s only heard it around the mediation, or sometimes when his dad comes into town. “If we aren’t going to see each other tonight…” 

“Yeah?” Gabe tries to soften his voice too. Whatever’s making Tyson unsure like that, he wants to chase it away–or at least, he wants Tyson to talk to him about it, like he sometimes does, the quiet confidences they don’t talk about in the light of day. 

“Just. It’s. Happy New Year’s, Gabe,” Tyson says, all in a rush, then he leans down and kisses Gabe. It’s just a press of their lips–Gabe’s too shocked for it to be any more, and by the time he realizes what’s happening Tyson’s sprung back like he’s been burned, his face bright red. “So I’ll see you losers in 2019!” he yells, so suddenly everyone’s looking at them and yelling back at him, and Gabe can only watch him as he power walks out of the locker room. 

Gabe resists the urge to touch his lips, but he does lick them, still staring at the door. He hadn’t thought–well, he had, but he hadn’t thought–Zoey could probably use some more company than just him on the couch tonight, he thinks. And he wants a proper New Year’s Kiss replay of that.

33, 36, 48 for the fic writer ask meme!

33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?

On writing--once, for one of my fics that revolved around living with anxiety, someone left a review saying that it had inspired them to go back on their meds. That was amazing. 

On a lighter note, whenever anyone tells me that I got them into a fandom/pairing, or they liked my fic despite not knowing anything about the fandom/pairing. That’s always fun. 

36) Can you give us a spoiler for one of your WIP’s?

Hm, I have so many WIPs right now and it’s unclear which will ever be finished. But if fantasyaufic is ever done-- sometimes the hero just has to slay the dragon. (most of my fics are also not plotty enough to really have spoilers, per se...)

48) What’s your favourite trope to write?

Oh, wow, that’s a big one. I mean, does pining count? Because I do love me some pining. But for a more plotty trope...maybe pretend relationship? I do love to write that. Or King and Lionheart? That’s a good one that runs through my fics. The tags on my works tell me that my most common tag is College AU, which tracks but which I’ve written less of lately. Does “AU” as a category count as a trope? Because I love me my AUs.
