Does Barik have a crush on Verse or something?
I checked the "Joins Scarlet Chorus" act 1 scenario, at least to see if it didn't also start with Graven Ashe and Voices of Nerat duking it out, and aparently Barik was, like, REALLY concerned with Verse dying (so much he almost defends her in front of Graven "Bestest, Most Warmest General in the World" Ashe before going mute and pleading you to do so instead in the Disfavored Scenario like the world's rustiest puppy) and tried to get her out the exploding tent by grabbing her in a panic and almost carrying her away (And got stabbed as a thank you), this despite Graven Ashe just declaring you and the Chorus (which Verse is a member of) as his and the Disfavored's enemies.
Like... does he have a crush on Verse? Because if he does that would have been cute had he not been a classist war criminal obsessed with proper breeding and her a deranged war criminal that like to torture people for sport.
