#vertex in synastry

I wanted ask you about Vertex synastry. I have my vertex conjunct my crush's venus and his vertex conjunct to my Pluto and chiron. Can you explain this to me.

Well to me Vertex in relevant when person's personal planets (Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars), maybe also Rising touch YOUR Vertex.

Then you are affected and this person is likely to transform your outlook on life, your life in some significant way, even if this person is just for a little time in your life. You will feel strongly impacted by them. So this person can teach you a lot about Venus themes, your values and what those are, selfcare, self love, partnership, romance, expanding your talents and your work ethic, new life experiences, how to earn money, stability, consistency.

You are touching his Vertex with Pluto and Chiron only, which to me personally is not as significant. But you might teach him about renewal, transformation, letting go, how to establish a deep trusted bond, how to embrace change. You could also make them feel more healed or hurt with Chiron.

You’ve said you learned about astrology from the internet/YouTube (if I remember correctly) but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of info on the vertex at all and seems difficult (for me at least) to understand, so like how do you know/understand so much on it??? Like bc I want to know more about it haha, (you had answered me on Lilith conjunct vertex, and something else and it just seemed so spot on lol). Thanks!

Also can you share info on the vertex, like the meaning... I know it has to do w fated events and such, but just anything you have to share about it in general. I’m interested in understanding how it works in natal, synastry and transits and don’t expect you to break that all down so I guess if you have a direction to point me to learn more on it. 🙃❤️

I learned from books and the internet, yes!  I personally found most descriptions about the vertex alone as a bit wishy-washy myself, but over the years when I read about aspects to it it become more clearer to me of how the Vertex behaves!

The Vertex (natal and synastry):

I think the Vertex can be described best as what it is: fateful event(s). The Vertex is about events that will have a tremendous influence of your life path, here we experience a feeling that can be best described as ‘serendipitous’.  That’s also the thing with the Vertex, it might not be realized by the individual at first hand because the change that occures isn’t instantly recognized for what it is. That is, why individuals can feel uncertain and insecure when Vertex gets activated, especially in Synastry. Either it’s so overwhelming, you metaphorically fall into the connection, or you feel pressured and frightened by the intensity of this subconscious feeling of change that unravels in front of your eyes and inside of you.  The Vertex isn’t called the Ascendant of the soul for nothing. The Vertex is what happens when the universe aligns and you are on the path of your souls journey in this lifetime.  When the Vertex plays out it’s not randomly, it’s because this is a checkpoint of your life that only adds further to the whole journey. Also called the ‘Anti-Ascendant’ it is all that focuses on the within. While the Ascendant focuses on the world, all that is surrounding us and how we express our self to it, the Vertex focuses on all that is within and thus reveals our soul in front of our own eyes. It can push us to find more clarity about what we want and are, all that is positive, all that is negative, but most importantly all that only helps us making peace and harmony with ourselves and bringing satisfaction for our soul on the long term. Since the Vertex is a very sensitive and personal point in ones chart, the individual will always be the best in making sense out of it: the Vertex is a point that is privat, it is not visible to others as our Ascendant or MC, it’s ultimately the point that brings us backs to our ‘invisible roots’. Where the Vertex resides (house 5 - 8) shows where we can find the ‘portal’ to those roots and thus to our vulnerable soul. This is the area where you will be confronted with what you are, desire and all the darkness that you haven’t known about yourself or suppressed.  For any future indications of such ‘fateful events’, you can look if any transits or progressions touch your Vertex, and of course you can look how people can influence your life in a fateful manner, by searching for indicators in synastry.  But one thing that is important to clear up regarding Vertex and synastry should be, that it’s not always an indicator for fateful romance and longevity.  A Vertex connection can also be a stranger you met at the bus station that you held a conversation with that meant a lot and still reflect on because it adds to your own personal path/transformation, even though you never saw them again afterwards.

sibling synastry

with my younger brother, 

my Vertex-Jupiter conjuncts his Moon-Uranus in Aquarius. 

Vertex is said to be where fated encounters occur, turning points, perhaps karmic events that play an important role in our life journey. Jupiter is the expansive, philosophical nature. When my Vertex conjuncts his Moon-Uranus conjunction, to me, this means I am fated to be his sister. With Jupiter here too, I feel I am to be optimistic, encouraging and support mind-expansion in the changeable and unique personality that my brother has.

his North Node is conjunct my Mercury-Midheaven in Gemini and South Node conjunct I.C. in Sagittarius.

North Node being our current life-path striving and South Node being a point of familiarity and perhaps past life tendencies, this means my home environment (his too) was familiar, it would give a sense of knowing, comfort in the home life. (natally his south-4th house north-10th house) With North Node conjunct my Mercury, this means I could perhaps teach him many things on his path. Mercury is the communicator, the teacher, and my ruling planet. I could offer guidance to my brother just by encouraging him with my words. He is a very talented writer and artist.

my Saturn trines his Pluto, opposes his Mars, and trines his Jupiter. 

My Saturn, sense of authority, opposes his sense of will-power (Mars). This means these two energies can be conflicting at times. The trines definitely help though, my sense of authority and disciplinary masculine qualities are supportive of his philosophical and expansive nature (Jupiter) and also supportive of his deep transformative, death and rebirthing nature (Pluto)

my Saturn is inconjunct his Sun-Mercury conjunction.

Inconjuncts call for adjustment on both ends. The signs are of different elements and modalities. These 150° aspects are kinda tricky, I have discovered they can produce the most growth. Although the planetary and sign energies are out of balance, they cause both ends to be active in adjustment and balance, causing for participation in the relationship and growth.
