Do you have any tips or resources for making better avatars or blendshapes? Im always so enamoured by your models and i really want to improve <3
Much like sketching 2D wise, you must understand shapes in a 3D view! I know alot of folks would say references are your best friend and I couldn't agree more! It helps you so much when it comes to understanding 3D shapes!!
I find working with blueprints work best!! I'm slowly weaning myself off of it to better formulate my style and skills, but for starters I recommend using this method as a reference guide on your models!
I also recommend keeping a reference of body proportions, especially if you're making humanoids if you want to be semi realistic.
As for blendshapes and what not, I find using face sets in sculpt mode helps alot! Face sets + grab tools are what I like to use, topology is good as well if you're working with lips or flaps so it doesn't mess with things that are not connected with the mesh/other half of the lip/flap.
I also recommend looking into the anatomy of faces/expressions! Alot of mouth movements affect the face much more than you expect it!
