Marley Rose:
It seemed like they had been on the party rooftop for an age. The music had started off with the swaying tones of old classics from the 80’s, which had enabled Marley to, ungracefully, bob along. Really, she only had her mother to thank for her knowledge of the hits. The woman, her bestfriend, loved the old songs and was often found dancing along to them as she did housework. Under the strung up fairy lights, Marley had even, without slipping into formalities, briefly managed to converse with Rachel. As the night drifted on a few half naked model type girls, sunk into the equally attractive looking pool. The music took a turn; it was if there was no need to ceremoniously provide for any older investors that might be attending the party. Still, Marley first official, party seemed to be going well, until the liquor took effect on Sebastian, boosting his confidence to go and talk to an extremely attractive green eyed boy who looked a bit young to be drinking a martini. Marley wasn’t going to step in though, Sebastian was a man and she supposed he deserved some fun.
Leaning against the bar, an unknown song echoing in her ears she ordered lemonade, letting her eyes gaze around the beautiful area. She was so taken by the decorations, that she didn’t notice the frown from the bartender as he poured her drink. Thanking the confused male, she slowly let her eyes land on Hunter who was talking to a brunette who appeared to have not eaten since she hit puberty. Her arms were like sharp lines that should come with a warning of their ability to snap or cut you. Then there were her eyes, rimmed with thick black mascara, ‘causing the vacant stair of hers to be all the more prominent. Still, though, there was so much wrong with the figure Hunter was talking to, Marley felt self-conscious. The man hung out with models on a daily basis, where she was, in her opinion, extremely plain. Smiling at Hunter, she gave him a small timid wave from across the pool.
