the biggest problem with deltarune discourse is that now everybody feels like they need to prove that their interpretation is the objectively correct one (and labelling everything as a "theory" or trying to predict the future of the story). trans ralsei, the chapter 4 weird route scene representing 'deflowering' and the chapter 5 weird route being a suicide attempt come to mind in particular. we're all interpreting the text through the lens of our own experiences and thats okay, trying to say a group of people are bad for reading a scene in a specific way is a terrible way to interact with fiction
people who think ralsei is trans are not inherently erasing gnc rep, people who think ralsei is gnc are not inherently transphobic, the chapter 4 weird route can parallel SA (due to the themes of loss of innocence / loss of agency) without the player literally making kris assault noelle, the chapter 5 weird route can mirror suicidal ideation even if they don't actually drown, there are so many ways to interpret all of these things because there is nuance and depth and thats a good thing
