A2B here with the first post on this new music composition blog I’ve thrown together! Just figured I’d start with a brief introduction
I’m a music hobbyist of sorts who grew up not only playing VGs in the late 80′s to now, but sitting in the sound test and listening to them, alongside the hits that played on the radio and songs shown to me by family and friends. While I did take lessons as a kid, I kinda fell out of it at some point and decided to move on to other things.
Flash forward to early college years and a friend of mine with interest in making her own game, lead me to having a interest in learning what goes into music composition. Messed around with Cakewalk Music Creator for a bit (Via presets and loops), decided to invest in a proper Midi keyboard which came with Ignite, and haven’t looked back since (Though, I’m currently in the process of teaching myself more expansive DAWs at the moment).
With how things have changed drastically this year, I found myself wanting to compose more with whatever spare time I can afford (Provided that work doesn’t knock the wind out of me first). I’ve learned a lot more about composition, Ignite, my (personal) overall approach towards music composition, tricks, techniques, and so on. One of my goals for this blog, feedback aside, is to have a space where I can share current Works in progress, finished projects, works from other VGM composers, what’s currently playing through my headphones, and other music related things with you folks.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read this! Sorry if it was a bit long winded!
