faldurs ancestor vi! who youve already met--hes not dangerous persay, but, he does have a protective streak and a hell of a temper [where do you think faldur gets it from ;0 ] along with the combat training he got in the fleet, makes him a pretty formidable force 

secondly is harrels ancestor almirant-an admiral commanding a fleet, mostly on the hunt for pirates + fleet deserters. and he sure didnt get to the top of the fleet by bein a pushover

Why is Vi a sad old man?

hes had a real rough life--a very sheltered highblood upbringing, then he joined the fleet 

in the fleet he assumed he was helping trolls by fighting for them, but when he realised he was doing more harm than good he stole a ship and fled the fleet to help trolls whod been wronged by the empire

he became a pirate of sorts chased by the empire, with a ragtag crew of primarily lowbloods, who came and went, and he helped more along the way. he, obviously, outlived all of them, including his moirail vesterka viridi who was captured and executed by the empire

he didnt cope with it well and so he dropped off the face of the earth in everyone elses eyes, and hes always saddled w this immense guilt that he could have saved more people, or that those executed due to ties with him might still be alive if hed done nothing,,,so now hes just an old man in hiding kinda looking for a purpose
