For the love of God, if you have suicidal thoughts that has been haunting you since forever, please find a therapist instead of unloading everything to a friend. Your friend is powerless, don't you understand? He's not trained to be a specialist in this area, he doesn't know what to do or what to say. For all you know, that individual may be sensitive to such things. What if you drown your friend too? Think about it.

Please seek professional help, it'll benefit you and others too.
