Excited to announce the official call for submissions for the Us, at Home zine! If you are a 20something and are living in your hometown or with family, consider writing an essay, poetry, or making an art piece and sending it to us within the next month.
I am honored to say that I’m a part of the amazing MIXD Zine series, with a personal essay (and photo) featured in issue #2! It’s so gorgeous, I had to snap a few photos.
I remember ordering the first zine in a couple of years ago, and being blown away by the moving and creative content. Thank you to @mixdzine for enabling me to be a part of this important collaborative project.

Missing late summer afternoons like this.

I wrote about how the ways we spend our time reflect what we value for Mimconnect, a platform where minorities in media can network and support one another. Be sure to check them out!
If you haven’t heard it yet, check out my interview on the U Panic'd podcast! My conversation with the hosts spans across genres of media, business, social platforms, race, identity, and more.
The text of my last post promoting a multiracial study still stands: “Multiracial people are under-researched in higher education, so studies like this will be crucial to our understanding of race in future years, especially as mixed populations continue to grow.
Mixed folks, help forward this important work by participating in surveys like this!”
I’ll keep promoting the work of multiracial researchers every time I come across a new study!
