  ◟ * ◊ ─   event 01 . update : founders ball .◝

        just as promised this year’s founders ball has turned out to be the best to date . a peaceful atmosphere , filled with laughter and music , the best of food and liquor being served , and for once the citizens of victoria are able to celebrate together in harmony . it seems that the founders ball has achieved the one thing both the lothario and bianchi family wanted , to not only bring everyone together in this beautiful night , but also regain their trust . of course , there are some residents that still believe the bianchis are behind the murder of victoria higgings , or that it was all a plan orchestrated by the lotharios to gain access to that seat in the city hall , but most residents are beginning to believe in their innocence .

       the small stand in the entrance of the bianchi mansion , is filled with flowers , candles and letters to remember both johnathan and victoria higgings . a way for the people to say their goodbyes . it’s currently 10 p.m the speech of natalya higgings has just begun , it touches the hearts of many , but peace is just brief - because as the speech nears its end it would soon be interrupted by rocco mancini .

      while this year’s commemorative act was simply a strategy to clean the image of the founding families , the year that rocco mancini’s parents died , no one had done anything to remember or pay tribute to rosaline and benito mancini . as if forgotten by the founding families , the mancini children were left to suffer in silence without the support of victoria’s community . seeing how no one had made an effort to remember them this year either , the way the lothario and bianchi familes were using the deaths of the higgings as a tool for their master plan , mixed with the feeling of neglect , sent the eldest mancini son into a spiral . loud clapping would soon interrupt the speech , a visibly drunk rocco mancini under the effects of both the alcohol and coke , is seen to make his way onto the stage . golden trays are smashed against the ground , bottles of champagne thrown across the room - and before security is able to do anything - he’s on the stage , punching a hole through riccardo bianchi’s portrait . everyone watches in horror , yelling and cursing filling the room - the speech of natalya higgings ruined by the eldest mancini , but before he can orchestrate his next move - three different guards are escorting rocco out of the ball .

      the chaos created by rocco mancini , would end up in the founding families organising the event announcing its cancellation .

for once she is a guest, not an employee, sparkling smile and effervescent image gracing the crowds as if she had done this a million times before. she recognises clients with the image of an old friend, seamlessly blending into a world in which she did not belong, her position within the alliance seeming a million miles away. she’s happy, though. finds the atmosphere pleasant and warm. finds it hard to deny the attraction of a high-class lifestyle. within it all she finds her friends, her family, her love; she begins the night with a signature smile, she expects to end with one too.
