VICTORIA CASTILLO ϟ 6TH, 16 ϟ GRYFFINDOR ϟ PUREBLOOD ϟ ANA GOLJA
LIKE A STRAND IN THE WIND.
Castillo is a known name in the magical world. Given that Orson Castillo, Victoria’s father, is the Minister of Magic, her family is hard to miss. From an outside perspective, Victoria’s family is as clean cut as they get – A pureblooded family who didn’t take sides, and seemed to have a completely clean slate. They have always been prime, proper, and poised, with the ability to somehow remain unceasingly pure. Coming from a pureblooded family of high social stature, Victoria was raised in what could be considered a ‘traditional’ home – While most of the Wizarding world moved towards a more integrated, and progressive way of living (and her family gave the impression that they were, too, for the sake of appearances), the Castillo’s could not be further from the persona they’ve created, once they’re behind closed doors. Victoria’s father is always making speeches regarding change, and bringing the muggle and magical world closer together, but she can see right through it. Her parents are purists, though they would never admit to. Victoria could never get behind the her parents beliefs – They both still believed in the out-dated ideals their parents taught them, and desperately pushed them onto their daughter, to keep the traditions going.
Much to their dismay, their daughter didn’t see eye-to-eye. The Castillo’s have never been kind people, to say the least. They were far too set in their ways, and when their daughter didn’t agree or follow what they told her, their means of punishment followed the same out-dated, and abusive ways their parents used while they were children. Victoria, for the sake of avoiding conflict with her parents, is a quiet girl when it comes to her family – She stays silent whenever the topic of discussion came remotely close to discussing purity, and she never allowed herself to let any one she care about near her family, either. Victoria could see the damage her parents were, and would cause, and actively tries to be opposite of them. She does all she can to be conscious of other’s feelings, and strives to be both kind, and welcoming. Admittedly, thanks to the naivety that comes from her upbringing, she’s been told she’s too trusting – And frankly, Victoria can be a bit oblivious. She tries so hard to give people the benefit of the doubt, and see the good in them, that she sometimes misses the large red flags.
Along with her over trusting ways, Victoria is a fairly anxious, or obsessive girl – She struggles with keeping control over herself and every aspect of her life, and lacks the proper coping methods to properly fix something when it goes wrong. And now, with the death of Harry Potter, she’s feels even more out of control. Though Hogwarts is meant to be a safe haven, and pulls her out of the political part of the wizarding world, she worries – Her father constantly reassures her that nothing is wrong, that she’s just being paranoid, and that things will be fine, but Victoria can’t help but question him. She questions just about everything around her, given that it’s become very clear that the near future is about to change drastically, and there’s not a damn thing she can do about it.
IN A WEB THAT IS MY OWN,
Above all, Victoria strives to be kind. Essentially, she is the complete opposite of her parents, and her upbringing – She aims to be aware of other’s feelings, and does all she can to take care of other people, and make sure they are comfortable. Everything she does can be traced back to trying to keep herself from falling into her parents habits; She tries so hard to break the cycle that Victoria often forgets to take care of herself, putting the needs of others before her own. As one would expect, being a member of Gryffindor, Victoria could be easily categorized as both brave, and courageous – She is quick to stand up for those she cares for, and for what she believes in. Though, Victoria could easily be considered to also be naive, and sheltered. Her family is a traditional pureblooded one, so she never had much exposure outside of that culture, or to the Muggle world. In a way, she’s a bit to oblivious to some things, and often blindly trusts every one she meets.
I BEGIN AGAIN.
