Non-Apprentice Vida AU
What it says in the tin. An AU for my OC Vida, if they weren’t the apprentice MC
Backstory is still the same. Oldest of four, born in Galbrada with family ties to Nopal
Their great aunt (Tía Duende) is a courtier in Vesuvia. Invites Vida to learn magic from her
Gets Vida a position in the court library (yay nepotism!)
This is how they meet the main 3 LIs and Lucio
Assist with research for the plague cure
Friends (with benefits??) to Nadia, Asra, & Julian
Tía Duende still dies from the plague
When Lucio “dies” and Nadia falls asleep, Valerius and the 4 horsemen close the library, dismissing Vida
Losing their job and friends means Vida is on their own for the first time
They keep up their love of books by opening a bookstore. It doesn’t do well since not many in Vesuvia can read, but they own the building outright. Duende left them enough to purchase a building with a small living space.
They spend most of their time alone, in the shop, reading books they’ve been able to acquire “to sell” (read: they really wanted to read for themself and justify buying it by saying they’ll sell it)
Very rarely leaves their shop, usually only for sporadic food or clothing runs.
They have an actual relationship with their family!! (Loud Yay!!) It’s all through letters!! (quiet yay…)
