More Than Friends
Shouto Todoroki x Reader
Kinktober Day 9!!
It wasn’t exactly clear to either of you when you became friends. You had met Shouto when he first stumbled through the coffee shop you worked at one morning, looking far less put together than you have ever seen him since. You learned later that he had slept through his alarm, very unlike him, and instead had to stop at your coffee shop, that was way closer to his agency than his previous spot that was virtually across town. The first thing you learned about him was that he was a creature of habit, preferring to stick to his routines, but the way you smiled at him as you handed him his black cold brew made his routine shift ever so slightly.
The first time you had actually had a conversation with him it had been later into the evening, a few weeks after he started becoming a regular. You were cleaning up, gathering the discarded books from the shelf in the corner before his voice suddenly made you jump in surprise. “When do you work next?” You turned to look at him, and his face gave nothing away, stoic as he waited for your reply.
You fumbled a bit at his question as you tried to read him. You knew he was a pro hero, that much was a give away with his form, let alone with the giant billboard down the street advertising his and Deku’s agency. If that was his profession it wasn’t likely that he was trying to figure out your schedule to try or kidnap you or something, but still, it was kind of forward.
“Um, can I ask why you want to know?” It wasn’t like you knew him. The only reason you actually knew his name was because of having to write his name on the paper cup.
“I enjoying seeing you.” He shrugged, and at your look of confusion he continued, as if he suddenly remembered. “My name is Shouto.” His cheeks had taken on a slight blush, causing you to smile softly.
“(y/n),” You answered, turning to continue working, “I close tomorrow.” You added over your shoulder, disappearing into the back room.
Somehow, you ended up growing closer, joining him at his table after work if you opened to talk before he had to go into work, or he would linger as you closed the shop, joining you on your walk home before you had to split ways.
Those walks home turned into grabbing dinner together before heading home, which soon turned into him joining you in your apartment for take out as you sat on the floor together, watching shows or simply just talking about nothing in particular. It almost surprised you how easy he was to talk to, especially considering how deadpan he was most of the time, but it somehow worked for you both. You were what some might call overly emotional at times, unafraid of your emotions, and it was a nice balance.
“Five weenies?” You laughed out, nearly wheezing at his story.
“I told them it wasn’t my name, as you know but for some reason it sort of stuck I think.” He smiled slightly at you. Your hair was loose, a baggy t-shirt swallowing your form as you sat beside him on the couch, perched on the edge as you leaned towards him, grabbing his arm for support. “It really isn’t that funny.” He shook his head, joining you with a light chuckle.
“Sho, I’m sorry, you’re just so cute!” You gushed, picking your head up and looking into his face. You were a lot closer than you had thought, trying to catch your breath as you scanned his face.
“You’re also cute.” He added, causing you to roll your eyes, shoving his shoulder away.
“You can’t just say that! You’re going to steal my heart!” You tried to laugh it off. There was a hint of the truth in that, the one emotion you had actually tried to hide. You liked him a lot, maybe more than a friend should. There was just something about him that made you feel like you could just be yourself, and the last thing you wanted to do was ruin that by telling him how you felt.
“How could I steal it? That would surely kill you and I am definitely against killing people.” He sounded so concerned, causing you to burst into another fit of giggles.
“Figure of speech, Sho.”
You both eventually turned back to the television, curling into his side as he wrapped an arm around you. You had a tendency to always be freezing, and the warmth he radiated was nearly irresistible, soon finding cuddling as part of your little nightly routine before he left your apartment for the night. Maybe it wasn’t what normal friends did, but it wasn’t like you were complaining.
You could feel your eyes begin to grow heavy as you snuggled closer to him, movie forgotten as you finally let your eyes slide shut. He smelled like fresh laundry with a hint of mint, causing you to sigh.
“(y/n)?” He called softly, and you hummed in response, not wanting this moment to end before he inevitably told you he had to head home. You didn’t want to admit the way your apartment had started to feel empty without him in it, adding it to the box in the back of your mind. “Are you a virgin?” Well you were definitely awake now.
“What kind of question?” You sputtered, sitting up suddenly and pulling away from him. You could feel your face start to glow red, and hoped he wouldn’t notice from the low light in the room.
“Are you?” He pressed, and your heart picked up. Friends talked about their sex lives, right?
“Yes.” You basically whispered out, looking back at the tv, knowing he wasn’t going to let it go. He could be quite persistent when he actually wanted to be. There was quite an intimate scene playing before you, and you chided yourself for not actually paying attention as he scrolled through, picking a random movie to play “Are you?”
“Yes.” Was all he said, as if that was all the conversation would lead to. You let your eyes slide back over to him, almost gasping in surprise when you realized he was looking right at you. “I think-” he paused, taking a deep breath as you turned your head to fully look at him. “I would like to kiss you.” he finally said, and you nearly screamed. Friends didn’t just kiss.
“Kiss me?” You squeaked, your body betraying you, slowly leaning into him.
“Kiss you.” He nodded, before crossing the distance, lips connecting with yours gently. The kiss was quick, more like a peck before he pulled away to scan your face. You were frozen, staring back at him, lips parted.
“Is this alright?” He asked, seeming worried.
“Definitely alright.” You shook your head, trying to clear it. “I just- I don’t want this to ruin anything.” You stumbled out, honestly sort of terrified of whatever he would say next.
“How would it ruin anything?” His face scrunched up, “I thought that was the next step. I thought it was normal for couples. If not then-”
“Couples?” You felt like you were on not just different pages, but like you were entirely different books. “What do you mean couples, we aren’t a couple.” It was like you missed something entirely.
“We aren’t?” He looked as confused as you were at this point.
“Are we?” You guessed it did make sense, sort of. You didn’t hang out with any of your other friends nearly as much as you did with him, and you definitely didn’t almost fall asleep cuddled with them on the couch more nights of the week than not. You definitely didn’t kiss them either.
“I think so?” He shrugged, a light dusting coming to his cheeks, “I know I didn’t officially ask you or anything-”
“Couple…” You cut him off, mumbling to yourself as your eyes flicked down to his lip. “I think couples do a lot more than just kissing.” You weren’t sure where the strike of confidence came from as you smirked at him.
“Well that was the plan.” Was all he said before leaning in. lips connecting with your own again. This time, he was rougher, almost demanding in the way his lips moved against your own, tongue soon joining as he leaned you back onto the couch.
His hands rested on your waist, almost too gently as you pulled back, peppering kisses along the thick column of his throat.
“Sho,” You sighed out, “Please touch me.”
“I am touching you.” You rolled your eyes at him before catching his eye, gasping. He was fucking with you! He had a light smile on as he looked down at you, his hands slowly moving to shove your shirt up, exposing your breasts to the cold air, nipples instantly perking up. “You’re gorgeous.” He sighed out, before leaning down and capturing one in his mouth, causing your back to arch.
“I want to see you.” You purred out, placing your hands on his chest. He leaned up, pulling his shirt over his head. He was incredibly lean, not overly muscular, a sight that made you pull in a breath. “You are too.”
“Gorgeous?” He raised a brow at you before capturing your lips on his own again. This went on, your hands memorizing each other's bodies, breathing growing more rapid, desperate. “Did you want to..?” He trailed off, unable to find the words, face hearted as he looked down at you. You nodded at his words, nearly frantic.
“Yes, yes, please.” His hands trailed lower, finally grabbing the waistband of your sleep shorts and beginning to ease them down your legs. You shivered at his touch, so close to where you wanted him, but still too far.
“No underwear?” He asked, a teasing note to his voice.
“Like you’re complaining.” You shot back, sitting up and pulling him closer by his belt loops. “It's your turn.” He laughed at your words, standing to pull his own down, the sight causing you to gulp. It was the first time you were face to face with a penis, and it truly was beautiful, if not looking a little painful. The tip was swollen, a bead of precum oozing out as you stared.
“I’ll grab a condom.” He mumbled out, you watching as he crossed the room to his bag, unzipping it and grabbing a foil packet, opening and rolling it down his length as he walked toward you. Your heart began to thunder in your chest, suddenly nervous as he watched you with a heavy gaze. “You still want to do this?” He asked, joining you again on the couch, large body caging you in. You didn’t feel trapped though, almost like you were protected, from what you didn’t exactly know. You could only nod at him, feeling shy leaning forward into a kiss again before he laid you back, spreading your legs slowly and slotting his hips against your own. You couldn’t help the moan that slipped out, feeling his cock brush against you.
You could feel his beginning to move against you, before slowly pressing the tip of his dick to your entrance, slowly, ever so gently easing in. You both groaned at the sensation. It felt so different than anything you had felt before, different in the best way. You had always been nervous, afraid that it would hurt, but all you felt was a pressure that soon began to build into something far more pleasurable.
Shouto was still above you, breathing heavily as he looked down to where you connected, and when he looked up to meet your eyes again, you knew that this is what you had been waiting for.
“Can I-”
“Please.” Your voice was almost ragged as you cut him off, and he nodded soon beginning to move. His pace began to pick up slowly, and you felt like you were floating as you moaned into his chest, an unfamiliar sensation building inside of you.
“I’m- I’m not going to last very long.” He huffed against you, kissing your jaw as his grip tightened on your hips.
“That’s okay.” You cooed out, feeling the pressure begin to build. He wasn’t alone in that. Your head fell back to the arm of the couch as his thrust grew more frantic, losing their rhythm as he chased his high, a crescendo that ended with him moaning into the crook of your neck, you whining at the lack of movement as his hips stilled.
“I’ll take care of you.” He promised, kissing down your neck as he slowly began to pull out, fingers soon gracing over your sensitive core. You were in for a long night.
