It was enough. Logically both of them probably knew it and the only two people who weren’t onto this little piece of information was them. That contentment she had talked about time and time again, she felt it with Marty. He had known her since she was a teenager basically, but he was her Marty and she was his girl. Hands stayed behind her head as he knelt down, his lips against her tattooed torso would bring the faintest gasp from her. She needed this, she needed it in the worst kind of way. She needed him.
She didn’t touch him though, afraid that they’d both spook but finally she couldn’t help herself, fingertips touched him as he anchored her in place. This feels right, is what echoed over and over in her head. Maybe she felt this way about him for the longest time, but she was always afraid to actually act on it.
