skate is like. awkward freaky (he'd probably be the guy to make a joke with a group of strangers that only he laughs at 💔 but he has close relations with friends)

Skateboard and Vinestaff would be really good friends/ a really good ship, or would at least understand each other pretty well, hear me out:

-Both were essentially outcasted. Different ways, but still:

Vinestaff was exiled from Darkage Clan by the members themselves

Skateboard was basically exiled out of Splintered Skies by Windforce

Both had inphernals who gave up opportunities in their own lives to be there for them.

-Shuriken and Slingshot gave up the opportunity to be better warriors in Darkage Clan to move to Crossroads for Vinestaff's safety. (Shit, I mean, they were already risking everything by visiting her at night before they moved)

-Boombox gave up the chance to be accepted as one of Windforce's warriors to save Skateboard, jumping off the island without hesitation.

Perhaps Vinestaff and Skateboard could bond over the fact that they feel like they can never repay the kindness that was given to them by their loved ones.
