Being friends with Nikki, Alexis had been sure that her capabilities to feel guilt had disappeared a long time ago. After all, her best friend’s moral compass had never pointed due north, and she’d never really questioned it before. But completely ignoring Vincent at school, she couldn’t help but feel a twinge of guilt. She did like him, despite the deep rooted denial she had about it. It wasn’t her fault that he wasn’t like any of the guys she was supposed to be into - there was no way she could admit it to Nikki or the other girls without hearing about it. Going down into the basement to find him - even though she wasn’t exactly sure what she was going to say to him - Alexis stopped short when she noticed him shoving his things into a bag. “What are you doing?” she asked, stopping short and frowning in confusion. Okay, so she knew what he was doing - even she wasn’t that dumb - but that didn’t mean she knew why he was doing it.
