Ellie knew she wasn’t exactly close to Violet and the rest of her family, but she felt that maybe Violet would have some good insight for the twin. She hadn’t expected to see Violet at this party, but she was glad to have run into her. She snorted in response, nodding in agreement. “You got that right — he doesn’t listen to anyone but himself.” Perhaps that was her being a little harsh, but that’s how it had felt ever since he left.
As Violet continued, Ellie let out a sigh, unable to argue with her side of it. “Me too...” She admitted almost sadly, sipping from her own drink. Of course she understood why he left deep down — she’d considered it herself too many times to count up to this point. “It doesn’t make me any less angry, though. If he had at least told me where he was going ...” Ellie would have followed him in a heartbeat, but she never would’ve pressured him to come back in that case. She shook her head. “It doesn’t matter anymore. I think we’ve got bigger problems on our hands now. That’s why I came here tonight, to get away from it all for a night.” @inviisibleprr
