The Viridisduct -Green Channel plays on urban infrastructure highlighting the usually hidden pipelines running through the city. Modern ducts carry mostly water, fossil fuels, electricity and telecommunication. Maybe in the future also plants, bugs, insects and microbes. The green cities of the future will have to invent new solutions for how nature and cities are combined. In our version of the future the plants have learned to pass through cities creating new routes and opportunities for people and animals. Pollinators are showing us the way towards greener future. We should follow them because they know how it is done. Viridisduct leads us to a future where nature and the human-made environment are equally balanced.
