Day whatever. Kind of lost track. Today the plan was to make cookie🍪 houses from a simple shortbread recipe. All worked out very well until we had to assemble them - we don't have icing sugar so I tried making, which usually works, but today just didn't. The icing sugar came out really grainy and so the royal icing was also grainy. The panels didn't want to stick 😭😢 The kids (and me, who am I kidding) ended up eating the cookies just like that. Luckily they don't have any complaints 🤣 Best laid plans right?
