Portfolio: At the beginning of the semester my portfolio worked but it was pretty basic. It contained many placeholders and the flow from the main page to the work was too long. That is, it took navigating two pages before being able to see any of the work that I’ve done. To fix this, I created a collage at the Year page of the work that is within that link. Therefore, people looking at the portfolio can don’t have to jump between different pages to try to find something specifically.
Links to other websites have also been improved. The link to my Tumblr has changed from being a link branded with “powered by embedly” to a simple but visually consistent screenshot of my tumblr blog. Also included is a link to my LinkedIn page.
The placeholder text for my name has been replaced with my logo. In doing this, I had to simplify the background to minimize the background obscuring the logo in-front.

Logo: Before this paper I had nothing that resembled a logo. I’ve already made a previous post regarding the development process of the logo. I’ve incorporated it into my digital portfolio and my business card as well.
CV: I already had a CV that had all of the necessary information on it. The things that I needed to refine on it was the formatting and the consistency of design.
For the consistency, I kept it subtle, adding a bar across the top that used the same colour as my theme. I didn’t think that adding anything further to the document would be beneficial as it’s still a professional document and since it’s going to be traditionally viewed in association with my portfolio, which is very visually bright, I wanted to give the audience a bit of space to breathe away from all the orange and angular designs.
I wanted to create a card that communicated the very basics. The purpose is to give someone simply a physical token of me. As a result, I included my logo and a very small geometric tower just for continuity sake. The rest i kept empty for the possibility of writing something on it when presenting it to someone.
LinkedIn: My LinkedIn profile has kept consistent imaging and links to my portfolio. In addition to showcasing work on my LinkedIn profile I included a blue tower design to the cover photo to emphasise the link between my various profiles. I’ve included the link in my portfolio so that people can find both the LinkedIn and the Portfolio easily no matter where they begin.

Tumblr: Although I had a Tumblr account previously to the paper for my Creative Technologies papers, it did not keep the same style as my other online personas. To help with this, I managed to find a theme that was simple and sharp but left plenty of room for personalisation. I altered the colours and made up a background image that used the same theme. In this blog, I have links to sites that I keep a lot of my work such as Vimeo and Soundcloud but also to personal social medias such as facebook and Instagram. As I see my blog as a more casual documentation of my work they’re able to see my personal side.
