The Merlion was first used by the Singapore board of tourism and now is the symbol of the city-state. “Mer” means the sea, and the lion head represents the original name of Singapura, or Lion City. The fish-body denotes the origins of Singapore as a fishing village. . When I was here at dawn, a couple was having their photoshoot done right by the Merlion. You can see them to the left in this first image. I then went around the Merlion to capture it in various angles so you can get a sense of where many of the tourist spots are relative to this statue. . Singapore has a very picturesque skyline from practically any angle you look at it! . #nikonambassador #visit_singapore #nikonCreators #singapore #merlion #merlionsingapore #merlionpark #longexposure #travelandleisure #bloggerlife #travelblogger #instablogger (at Merlion, Singapore) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cp7sQTyueSC/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
