#visuelt2013: Top 3
Visuelt is an annual design event in Oslo that features an array of creatives within visual design, mainly motion, graphics and typography.
These are the Top 3 presenters that made the biggest impression.
Spain is a good word to summarize this years event with as both Serial Cut and Dvein (spanish agencies) were presenting badass 3D and motion work and pretty much, in my eyes, took peoples breath away and brought forth smiles throughout the audience.
This spanish image making agency, Serial Cut, presented an array of work and brought us behind the scenes to their crafty behind the scenes process, that involves pedantic precision cutting of papers, plastics, wires and wood.
Only to photograph it and tear it down. And use the imagery to create magic compositions such as the Toyota Prius one above, where pretty much all objects are photographed and composed in the post-processing to create the 3D rendered look.
They said they like it when you can't tell if it's an actual render or if it is a photograph. Knowing that makes it even more exciting to view their work.

Dvein was another agency showing amazing animation work and telling us their history. They brought a sense of humour and amazing storytelling to enlighten us on some of their recent works. The climax of the talk was probably the story of their latest music video and how it came to life after figuring out 3 random things they'd love to incorporate.

B. Martin Pedersen is a norwegian Mad Man and among hundreds of other things, he was part of creating this magazine you see above. A magazine for American Airlines, back when releasing an airline magazine was a bit more break through than these days.
This is one of those speakers that makes me wanna sit back and listen for five more hours, perhaps over a whisky in a leather lounge chair. The quality of the photographs used in his work he showed was astounding, it really highlighted the fact that content matter.
I'm curious on how he views the evolution of advertising since the early days up until now.

The culture in Spain is so amazing and vibrant and really helps explain the results of the work that they do, I believe.
