“An empty room, I’m empty too.” - Fallout by Marianas Trench
I feel like comparing Da Vinki twins to Virus and Trip is an insult to them.
So I just replayed Virus’ route in Re: Connect
And a totally random thought occured to me.
Have you ever realised that the only time we are fortunate enough to see Virus’ genuine ‘emotions’ is either when he’s reaching his climax/he climaxes or when he thinks he’s alone with Trip without Aoba listening ?
Or I’m trying to say is
too bad we couldn’t see these two occassions combined, amirite. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Vitri headcanon #1
Okay, but Virus, as untouchable as he is, definitely has to have some weak spots, since he’s a human after all (although somehow semi-artificial). Spending his whole childhood in some sort of institution where they used him as nothing more than a lab rat has to leave some scars on him (whether literally or metaphorically). He’s most likely to have PTSD. And I absolutely adore the headcanon that he becomes weak around doctors.
Just seeing a person in a white coat with a needle or vaccine in their hand is enough to disarm him. He loses that calculating look his synthetic eyes usually hold. The corners of his mouth are no longer turned-up, his lips are shaky and barely open. He loses his composure, begins to slightly tremble. He is robbed of everything which makes him himself, becoming nothing more than an empty shell.
And just imagine the first time it happened after he and Trip joined the Midorijima Yakuza??? Like Virus has to visit the Yakuza doctor, for one reason or another, and the moment he sees him he just completely shuts off. And the doctor doesn’t even have any bad intentions with him so he’s just really freaked out and has no idea what to do. So he tries to call in some other Yakuza members if they could possibly know what’s happening to who’s supposed to be the rising star of Midorijima Yakuza and one of the best Toue’s products, and of course they don’t have a clue so everyone is just confused and a little terrified.
And then Trip returns to the Yakuza lair where this whole incident takes place. He’s more annoyed than calm since Virus told him the day before that he has to take care of something today, so the bleached blond is free to do whatever he deems appropriate. So Trip is like slouching, most likely munching on something and he looks up to see that there are tons of Yakuza members pushing each other’s shoulders infront of some door. So Trip just lazily walks up to them, not excited in the slightest.
And then, behind the door, he sees the only person he truly cares for in a way he has never seen him before; shaken and, dare he say, vulnerable. Laying his eyes on Virus’ chapped, trembling lips just awakens something in Trip and he loses his composure as well. Roughly forcing every Yakuza member apart so he can get closer to his paralyzed companion. He lets his emotions to get the best/worst of him, yelling and spitting profanities at everyone.
The very first thing Virus sees when he wakes up from his almost-uncounsciousness are the blood stains, reaching almost to the ceiling of the small room. When he manages to sit up, his eyes meet with an uncountable amount of unmoving bodies on the floor and a heaving, exhausted Trip with torn, bloodied knukles, leaning against a wall.
