His crimson gaze looked over her gesture of surrender. Her raised hands indicating what her words stated before. His gaze slightly narrowed just a bit more. He was far from afraid of her. He's seen how she has interacted with some of the others. How she seems to treat those within this place with a mixture of curiosity but also respect. It is one of the few reasons why he even allowed her to get close to him in the first place.
What hadn't been his intention however was her coming here. Most commonly don't go here. So he thought it would be a good place to gather what he needed to patch himself up so he didn't leave a bloody trail straight to his own lair when he went to properly mend his injury. But yet here this outsider was. He had planned on simply sneaking away, but she noticed him before he managed to do so and, for a reason he's not quite sure of yet, started insisting on helping him.
He thought about it for a moment as she spoke, his upper lip lowering a bit as she mentioned that it looked like he's had it rough. He wasn't certain if she was simply stating the fact that he had a slight gap in between the plating on his side from an old injury that wasn't quite able to be repaired properly at the time, or the fact that his form in general bares marks and scratches from encounters in the past.
Either way, that statement was very much true, in more ways than one.
A huff leaves him as he looked away, the red in his eyes slightly dimming before he closed his eyes and released a sigh-like breath before speaking.
"Rough is practically the definition of this place recently. Many have it rough. For one reason or another, suffering is almost always present here."
He then looked towards her, slightly letting his arm slide towards her, though keeping it close to his chest.
"The likely hood of my injuries becoming infected is slim to none, outsider...though your...willingness to help me is appreciated. I've never encountered such an issue with myself yet. I'll patch it up myself once I can...once I stop the bleeding."
The sight of blood leaking down his arm becomes more evident with him shifting his arm. His aggression seemed to have lessened a little as well. Respect always allows him to see that the person is at least trying to polite, which is something he can appreciate.
