hello lost when you started watching aot were you a fan of both levi and erwin before becoming an eruri shipper and did you ship them from the start? I saw an old thread about how people mostly started shipping them around uprising arc and during the first arcs (especially in manga/pre-anime) the ship wasn't all that popular and didn't make sense to ship them. I find that very interesting how this ship developed. Unfortunately I don't have that kind of experience, I was already a fan of Levi before I started watching aot so I didn't have a chance to grow fond of them like everyone else lol I was shipping them from the very beginning. sorry for my poor english ^.^

I started reading the manga in real time from about chapter 74 onwards, so I missed the Uprising Arc while it was being published. It's still one of my favourite arcs so I really regret not being able to follow it at the time. I do know several fans who have said that it was during the Uprising Arc that they realised just how special Erwin and Levi's relationship was. I think that also chimes with Isayama saying that he didn't really start to enjoy drawing Erwin until he became more complex and human. Once his humanity starts to shine through, it's almost impossible to ignore his relationship with Levi and the bond of trust they share.
