“Your intuition suggests something isn’t right but you’re not sure what it is. It is not until the aftermath that you can see clearly and you realize that true life can be more terrifying than a horror movie, that monsters are real and evil prays on the innocent...”

I had a conversation with a coworker today...it was both unusual and foreign. I didn’t know why, but there was something about him that was different...far different than most. He had always had that energy about him that I felt every time I would go near him...I don’t know what it is...but I still get nervous since last night.
He had light brown hair and dark skin with unusually white eyes as he looked out to the empty parking lot of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. There was a flick of a lighter, an orange glow cutting the darkness that fell over the other’s face. He was an attractive security guard....though I wasn’t interested in men in that way. He was just a good looking man.
Why he worked at Freddy’s was beyond me. . .
I was waiting for my ride to come and pick me up. . . and it seemed like he was either waiting for Night shift or for a ride as well...
“Quite a long night, hmm?”
His voice made me tense, having not expected the other to start talking to me. I shifted as I sat down on the curb as I so often did every night, watching the moon as it slowly ascended into the darkening sky. I didn’t really want to leave him sitting there waiting for me to answer, but I didn’t really talk to most of the crew much save for Skott about the schedule...or Mike from time to time when the new horror movies came out. I looked up at him as eyes seemed to glow with the full moon’s rise, leaving my heart to leap into my throat before I looked down to fiddle with my phone.
“Well, that last minute group didn’t help my cleaning. I should have been out of here by now” I grumbled.
I could hear him chuckle before the soft crackle of the paper burning from the cigarette reached my ears. I always found the sound comforting since my mom smoked so often when I was a kid. I close my eyes as I hear his work shoes shift on the cement of the walk way. He seemed content with my answer at the very least...There was another extended silence before I spoke up, looking up at him.
“So, what are you still doing here? I mean...your shift is over, right?” I inquired.
“It is. Thought I would wait for your ride to get here...you know...partner system” He waved a hand in the air, a silver strand of smoke following the lit cigarette. “I’m not heartless enough to leave a girl alone out here.”
It was a kind gesture to say the very least. Most of the other guards would have just left me here by myself. I shifted and looked at the ground and the faded yellow paint of the fire line. It was another awkward silence before I heard the other exhale another cloud of smoke.
“So...You’ve been here for what? A year now?”
“Give or take a few days” I chimed.
“Did you ever hear the old ghost stories about this place...? They say it’s cursed.” He looked over at me in the dark. His eyes seemed to glow in the lunar light as it hit his skin.
“You mean about the animatronics? Do you believe that stuff?” I gave a chuckle, though it was very obvious that the thought made me nervous...dead children stuffed in suits haunting the Pizzeria at night....Perfect horror attraction right there...
“If only you knew” His smile seemed to widen. “Some say the killer was never caught...that the poor sap is still in the Pizzeria to this day.” He looked back at the store before taking another drag of his cigarette. “Think it’s true...?”
“Not a chance.” It was an abrupt answer from me. I’m not very fond of the Horror genre like my girlfriend is... “It’s just some myth the older people use to scare the newbies like me” I look over.
“Pretty girl like you doesn’t need a job like this. You could get into modeling or something.” He chimed as the smoke passed through his nose and lips, oozing out like a dragon about to breath fire.
“I don’t think I’m that pretty. Thanks though.” He chuckled before he looked back up at the sky.
Victor was a wild card. Unlike Jeremy and the others, which I could partially read....Victor was unreadable. He was an unusual man with a bit of an accent...Russian probably. He seemed like a nice guy to say the least. Everyone liked him...and no one ever had many issues with him.
He was a hard worker and kids seemed to adore him for his bigger size and all around friendly nature. Hell, the guy made my heart skip a beat the first time he spoke to me which wasn’t an often thing. I looked down to my phone again as it beeped.

It was midnight....
the messages didn’t stop, they just kept coming through, the next more encrypted than the last.
What was going on?
It wasn’t until they slowed down that the last message was readable.

My breath was caught in my throat as I slowly turned to the side, eyes slowly taking in the sight of violet as my eyes trailed up the form beside me. As I continued, the more horrified I was. His hands and clothes were covered in blood....On his face was a lone splatter of sanguine...while his eyes...were pitch black, a white pin prick where his iris should have been was staring right at me.
There was a shout and eyes shot opened as a car horn honked not too far away from me. I was sitting on the side of the road, not too far from home.
Was I asleep?
When did I start walking?
I didn’t remember....
Looking at my phone, I frowned...no messages...save for one...

Slowly did my hands reach into my bag as I rummaged through it while heading to my roommate’s car. I got in and felt something cool against my hand. Confusion was written on my face as I pulled out a pocket knife.
It felt worn in my hand, obviously handled often. My friend commented on it, asking if a friend let me borrow it. I nodded, not wanting to alarm him or my girlfriend in the backseat...
The rest of my night was restless...Who had I really talked to?
I went into work the next day, still confused about who and what I saw the night before...one thing was for certain though...Victor couldn’t stop smiling at me the entire day...
