Void Pyro x Male reader headcanons
You two first meet when Casandra decides your somehow useful, or useful enough for now
You genuinely don’t know why they kept you or kept you alive, but it was clear you were the outsider amongst everyone else
Well, everyone but John
John was very passive aggressive at first, but he talked to you at least
To John, ‘befriending’ you was for his own pleasure
I mean you were desperate to fit in as quickly as possible, and he relished the way you practically leeched to him
If you have powers, John is curious about them
If your powers are cooler he will definitely be sour and try to one up you
If you don’t have powers, he’s constantly showing off
Maybe even purposefully sending a flame or two at you for a laugh
Obviously he starts treating you a bit better when your seen as a part of the team
Though despite the new belonging, you still kept close to John
He’ll never admit it, but he was slightly relieved you didn’t get distant
He’s protective of you, powers or not
He purposefully keeps his eyes on you during conflicts, making sure you don’t get hurt
God help the unfortunate soul who does hurt you, they become nothing but a crisp
John struggled with his feelings at first, he’s always been experimental, but that was a long time ago, with people he didn’t necessarily care about
