I can’t believe people think there is no lgbt rep...
I can understand people feeling let down when they expected something other than what happened in the show. I don’t think it’s acceptable, however, to have a giant tantrum and start accusing people of homophobia as if an animated Netflix series is like, an actual serious real-world thing to get worked up over. Like, seriously, it’s a cartoon, it’s so insignificant, there are so many other things in the world to get worked up over
this is exactly the thing that drives me nuts! The reaction is so disproportionate to what its brought on by its ridiculous. The voltron fandom is a mess with this anyways by how they accuse other fans and creators of literally everything under the sun and render words like pedophilia and abuse meaningless, to now mis-using ‘queerbaiting’ as a term, like, its an animated netflix show its not ever going to be the queer masterpiece you are imagining. \
I just wish these people would just go and consume the heaps of queer content that EXISTS instead of threatening death on people on a mainstream show who have fought to add gay rep against execs who didn’t want it. If you want an all-queer cast there is media out there for you, there are creators who are queer wanting to make this media that are being ignored by these ‘fans’ who COULD go on to be showrunners if they are given the support they need
