Hi, I hope this is the right place to ask for some help. I am currently looking for a Keith/Lance (Voltron Legendary Defender) fic and I’m getting desperate (I’ve been looking for over a year)
It’s a soulmate au and I fear it might have been deleted because I’ve searched every possible tag combination and did specific word searches on ao3 and I haven’t been able to find it, but here’s what I remember:
It’s definitely been a while since I read it (I think I read it while the series was still being released so likely between 2016/2018) but I remember reading a fic where Keith and Lance were either soulmates or just had some kind of emotional bond.
The premise was that bonded people can feel each other's emotions and in this specific case, whenever the two felt the same emotion, they would end up in an emotional feedback loop.
I’m pretty sure it wasn’t that long of a fic, probably not even multi chapter and it might have been a 5+1 kind of fic because I remember there being a focus on different emotional feedback loop instances? I am also fairly sure that it used the exact words “feedback loop” and I have looked through most of the works mentioning this on Ao3…
The fic basically followed multiple instances of Keith and Lance sharing these emotional feedback loops in a "X times someone had to get them out of it and 1 time they didn’t have to", I believe there was a situation somewhere in the middle of the fic where they were both stuck in a happy-loop and couldn’t stop giggling, the rest of the team didn’t notice that it became a problem at first but when they noticed, someone (I believe it was Shiro?) punched one of the two (I think Keith got punched?) to snap them out of that emotion? I’m not 100% sure what the other instances were (if it was a 5 + 1 format there must have been more), but I’m pretty sure one scenario had them stuck being angry?
If also ended with them both sharing a feedback loop where they were just in love in the end and someone asked if they needed to be snapped out of it but another character (Shiro? potentially Krolia?) said something along the lines of I don’t believe we have to get them out of this one.
TLDR: looking for a Klance Soulmate AU, possibly 5+1 type fic, probably a oneshot, definitely between 1000 and max. 15000 words, probably from around 2016-2018 during the series release period, involving soulmates sharing emotional bonds that can get them stuck in feedback loops when they feel the same intense emotion.
