Lovely message from the girl, who had no idea how much she and the ITCHY (see also Fixed on Fixed Video) influenced the birth of SHE36.

‘It makes me so happy to hear about other women getting inspired and coming together for the love of bikes. I’ve really been missing the Itchy girls since I moved back to Vancouver, and it’s been hard to get interest in something like that here. I have a lot of appreciation for the confidence and support I got from those girls.  Being in a fun, safe and non-judgemental space helped us all push each other to be better riders, and more importantly to become strong, confident and badass women. I raced my first alleycat with them, and they encouraged me to pursue a job as a messenger in a city where only one other girl was working. Being in a crew of passionate women is such a special and unique experience that I want everyone to have. Ladies rarely get the chance to dominate a scene or group, especially something physical, so bringing together communities of us is so important. Thank you for getting in touch, keep kicking ass and inspiring others to come together and do what we love’
